We want to connect with you - your way
Much has changed since we developed our first Communication and Engagement Strategy and began our new approach to engaging with our community.
We're checking in to see how you feel about our progress and what you think we can do to improve our communication, listening, and actions based on your input.
Whether you're from Aberglasslyn, Woodville, or anywhere in between, we want to hear from everyone! Your voice matters and will shape how we connect with our community, and your feedback will influence our strategy.
We're reviewing your feedback
Thanks to everyone who participated in our online survey, talked to us at a community pop up or provided feedback in any way. The online survey is now closed.
Your opinions are valued, and we're currently reviewing your comments to help us create a new draft of the Communication and Engagement Strategy that will apply best practices and meet your needs.
We will make the draft Strategy available for public comment later in the year.
In the meantime, if you have ongoing feedback about the way we communicate and engage, please contact us via email at yoursay@maitland.nsw.gov.au

What was said last time
Things have changed since we last talked about how we connect.
The last time we asked about your satisfaction levels with how we communicate and engage was in 2022. While we've been working on improving how we connect with you, Council has undergone some significant changes that have changed how we work and connect with each other.
- We have relocated to a new building, bringing more of our team together for easier collaboration, making it easier to share information with you.
- With our new General Manager joining us in 2023, we've seen a change in leadership and experienced an organisational restructure, which has realigned our teams so we can work smarter and serve you better.
- Our Customer Driven Transformation is still underway, producing process and technological improvements so our staff can focus more on you and your needs.
Below are some of the things we heard from you in 2022 and some insights into how we delivered.
