We're seeking feedback for our roadmap for more diverse housing options
We’ve developed a new ‘planning guidebook’ that will help steer the strategic delivery of more diverse housing options across the city.
Did you know that 90 per cent of all new development in Maitland occurs in greenfield areas on the outer fringes of our urban footprint?
Our shared vision for Maitland is a connected city with thriving communities; where there’s affordable and diverse housing options, and everyone has a place to call home in all stages of life.
Our draft Maitland Residential Density Guide seeks to address the growing need for more diverse housing options across Maitland by outlining the types of housing that Maitland Council will consider at an area planning level, both in greenfield and infill areass around our centres and transport links.
You can review and provide feedback on the draft guide until 28 April 2025
