• How do I use the kitchen caddy?
• • Keep your caddy near your food prep area, away from direct sunlight.
  • Tear off a compostable liner from the roll provided, open it up and place it inside the caddy.
  • When it’s full, or at least every three days, tie the liner and place it into your green bin.
  • Insert a fresh liner and repeat.
• Why is the caddy lid perforated?

• The perforated caddy lid is designed to reduce odours by allowing moisture from food waste to evaporate, rather than build up and cause smells. It also helps the compostable liner to breathe. Plus, the holes are specially designed to stop vinegar flies getting in or out.

• What about the smell?

• The kitchen caddy has a specially designed ventilated lid that helps reduce odours by allowing moisture from food scraps to evaporate, rather than build up and cause smells. The airflow also helps the compostable liners breathe, keeping contents drier and fresher. The lid’s small perforations are designed to prevent vinegar flies from getting in or out.

  To keep your caddy and green-lidded organics bin smelling fresh:

  • Keep them out of direct sunlight
  • Empty your caddy every few days
  • Always close the lid tightly

  You can also manage smells in your green bin by layering food scraps with garden waste. And don’t forget - your kitchen caddy is dishwasher safe, or you can wash it with warm, soapy water as needed.

• How long do the liners last before they break down?

• The liners are designed to last long enough for normal use. We recommend storing the roll of liners in a cool, dry place and changing your caddy liner every two to three days.

• How will I find space for the caddy in my kitchen?

• The caddy is compact and designed to fit on a benchtop, under the sink, or in a cupboard. You can also use a different container if it suits your space better.

• Your green bin will now be collected weekly with your red bin.

• Your FOGO bin will continue to collect garden organics like leaves, grass clippings, branches, weeds and flowers.

  With FOGO, the service will expand to include kitchen food scraps.
