Who we are and what we do

Many people across the organisation are directly or indirectly responsible for engaging with our community already, and we recognise the potential to leverage and empower this workforce.

The Engagement Champions group will be made up of staff members who meet bi-monthly to chat through upcoming engagement projects, discuss engagement issues, wins and support their teams need, share engagement data and findings, and be a conduit within their teams and across the organisation to collaborate, and champion best practice engagement.

As a Champion, you'll attend regular meetings to discuss engagement topics, and get some get training in IAP2 engagement essentials, Social Pinpoint training and other identified training. In addition, group members may be called upon to support large engagement project work related to their directorate, e.g. manning a pop-up stall for community conversations (pending Coordinator approval to do so).
