Largs Skate Park is now open

Construction on the new Largs Skate Park is now complete, and the site has officially opened to the community.

Located on Largs Avenue and funded by the Australian Government, the $754,000 facility features a pump track, half pipe, volcano and grind rail with seating, bins, drinking fountains and two new shade shelters also installed.

The existing skate park, which remained open during construction, will now be demolished.

Previous updates

Consultation for Largs Skate Park is now complete. Thank you to everyone that provided feedback both by completing our survey and visiting us at our at our pop ups during phases one and two of engagement.

After phase two of community engagement, where we asked you which design you like best for the new Largs Skate Park, we are happy to announce that concept one took the winning vote.

The winning design features a pump track, half pipe, volcano, grind rails, shade shelters and more. The surrounding site will be refreshed with shade structures, bins, seating, and an accessible connection between the skate park and Largs Avenue.

Construction will commence in late 2023 and we expect the new park to be open in time for summer skate and scoot fun. The existing Largs Skate Park will remain open during the construction period of the new skate park.
