Maitland City Council has recently completed works to improve passive community recreation in bushland areas near Weblands Street in Aberglasslyn and Dunmore Road in Largs.

These works were funded by the Department of Regional NSW in association with Maitland City Council under the Resources for Regions program.

Improvements delivered across the two bushland areas include:

• Maintenance and improvement of walking tracks including erosion and sediment control
• Installation of seating along walking tracks
• Removal of illegally dumped waste including abandoned vehicles
• Fencing and concrete barriers installed within bushland at Weblands Road to prevent illegal entry by vehicles
• Management of lantana within the bushland at Dunmore Road and revegetation with native seedlings at both sites

The following survey will be open until April 26, 2024.
